Hiking Progress Bar

Woke up at 630 with everyone else. Grabbed some cereal and milk at the corner store for breakfast. Packed up and hit the trail.

Hiking was two miles of road walking. Yes that's a blaze on the telephone pole.

Then crossing the Susquehanna River bridge.

And then up onto a ridge.

Cruising up there all day with a few rocky patches. Legs felt good after I got warmed up. Saw some goats in a power line meadow.

Short day because its supposed to thunderstorm tonight and I didn't feel like tenting in that. So I stopped at Peters Mountain Shelter.

It's a big, two story shelter and all the folks from the hostel decided to stop there. Additionally Eore and Blowtorch staying out of the rain with us.

Wolverine stopped by for water. We'll probably see him again tomorrow.

Water was about 100m vertical down the hill but flowing really well.

We used up the afternoon chatting. The group has a lot of different backgrounds which makes for interesting conversation. Everyone wants an early start after such a short day so folks were in bed before the sun went down.

My mental clock is going to be so far out of the pacific timezone by the end of this that I'll be jet lagged going home.
