Sleeping in town was OK after the teenagers quit playing music in the post office parking lot.

Started out with a bagel and coffee at the general store and got hiking.

Saw some more turkeys before the trail entered a wetlands area which involved a lot of boardwalk walking.

So many turtles.

The tail took me through some farms, one of which had a fun warning to us hikers.

After the flat section I climbed "the stairway to heaven" which went up about 1300ft over about 1.5 miles. Seemed to be a popular walk, many day hikers out to enjoy the view.

You can see the boardwalk path with the cow sign from way up there!

Walked on to the park ranger station for Wawayanda state park. My plan was to rinse off and then get a rideshare into town. As I was cleaning up I noticed a day hiker come in and hop in their car. Naturally I asked for a ride.

Gene gave a ride down to the Warwick. He was a soft spoken army vet that frequently hiked in the area.

In town I zipped over to ShopRite for resupply. An extensive grocery store, but I only needed a few days of supplies given the frequent restaurant stops. This should get me through next week.

Across the street was Pennings Farm Market where I met Luscious. He had gotten a ride back down trail just for the drive in movie experience. We talked over ciders.

After some food we walked over to the The Warwick Drive In where we planned to camp and see a movie.

We got lawn chairs, radios, and popcorn and watched the Accountant 2. Very fun and unique experience.
