Zipped into town for another diner breakfast. Can't get enough eggs, pancakes, and coffee when I'm in town.

Packed up and got a ride from Dennis, my motel neighbor, back to the trail. Dennis is buying a house in Bennington so he can move back to his home town. The process is slow, so he has time on his hands and volunteered his services.

Steep climb out of the gap and then a longer climb to the peak of Glastenbury Mountain. No view but there is an old fire tower.

There was also a sign for the local trail club, but I think this was for the snowmobile trails that also came to the peak, not the AT or LT. I never thought I would see the day a Facebook Group name was printed on a metal sign.

Mostly uneventful day of hiking. The weather a little humid but still cool enough to be tolerable. Got to visit a really nice privy with a deck.

Towards the end of the day I got a great view of a pond with beaver dam.

At this pond I ran into K-Won again. He apparently lost a whole day of hiking because he left his phone power bank in Dalton and had to catch 4 buses (8 round trip) back to get it. I think I would have just gotten a new one.

Tenting tonight at a location beyond the last shelter I passed to try to get a head start on tomorrow. The bugs are relentless and I've spent most of my day with a bug net on. Looks like rain tomorrow but hopefully I can pack up before it starts.
