Another cool, foggy morning after overnight rains. Not too terrible today at 7°C. Getting started was easier.
Went downhill alternating between fields/meadows and woods. At least one of the fields was hosting plants for monarch butterflies.
I enjoyed patches of wildflowers blooming in the woods.
The main view for the day was at Little Knob Vista. It looked back the way I had come. I'm pretty sure Killington and Pico were visible.
Stopped at Thistle Hill shelter for water. It had a super cool privy design.
Thistle Hill was only 14 miles into my day so I decided to push on. Ended up at Happy Hill, a cute little double decker shelter. Wanted to avoid tenting with the rain coming in tomorrow. Had the place to myself.
