Hiking Progress Bar

Made breakfast at the hostel before getting a ride out to the trail at 7AM from the owner. He drives a well kept classic Cadillac. Pretty fun to go back to the trail in style.

To start it was another foggy set of views, and then the rain came. Luckily today was much warmer than my previous rainy days so it wasn't as demoralizing.

The rain lightened and then finally stopped as I climbed Mount Success. Good thing too, the views up top were great.

The AT followed the Mahoosuc Trail through here which is well known for difficult sections of scrambles. As I approached the border of Maine, New Hampshire gave me the full gamut of slippery rocks, mud, roots, and climbs one last time.

But none of it stopped me from making it to Maine.

The trail went over some interesting balds with views fading in and out of the fog.

I hiked on to Full Goose Shelter where I stayed the night. After dinner a through hiker named Checkbook showed up. She will have finished the trail in under 100 days if she reaches Katahdin in the next 10. Amazing.
